This Global Climate Coalition (GCC) “Action Agenda” covered the GCC’s stance on domestic and international climate issues. The industry-funded GCC opposed greenhouse gas regulations through direct engagement and collaboration with affiliated climate deniers from 1989 to 2002. Its membership spanned across the automotive, utility, manufacturing, petroleum, and mining industries.
Organized by membership initiatives, government/business/public partnerships, and international initiatives, the GCC called for further scientific understanding of climate change and its impacts, voluntary emissions reduction regimes, and “flexible market-based … concepts.”
